I have played You Don't Know Jack a number of times, and never thought of it as a violent game. It never occurred to me. I suppose the in-your-face announcer guy is a bit abrupt, but the game is more like a pop game show, and you answer trivia questions. It reminds me of the 1950s style game shows - just updated to modern style. Compared to many games out there, I think this is a family-style game suitable for everyone. That's just my opinion. I highy recommend the purchase of the game - its' fun!
