In trying to find some background about the games industry, I've found little information on educational games, but a ton of information on e-games for entertainment. IGDA (International Game Developer's Association) proved to be a good resource for getting into the mind of a game designer, (which I'm finding can sometimes be a scary place). Their site offered a couple of interesting articles about how you might start to become a game designer, and about where the industry is going in the future. Check them out!
