There is a recent editorial column on ABC News which speculates that Counter-Strike is responsible for a drop in television viewership among men 18-34 years of age. "It may even mark the beginning of the end of the dominance of television in American life." This is an editorial, but I suspect the writer may be correct. As I began to research online gaming, I am astounded at the quantity and variety of online games out there. It bespeaks a vast interest in interactive, online competition that I never suspected, as well as a huge desire for role playing and fantasy games. See my Wiki entry for a basic description of online gaming.
